Nookspan organizes rental listings locally without building a central database of Facebook posts or profiles.
What stays on your device
Property details you choose to load, approximate locations, image URLs, source-post links, favorites, and saved groups are kept in extension-owned browser storage. The extension automatically removes saved listing records after 30 days.
What we do not collect
We do not collect Facebook cookies, Facebook access tokens, browsing history, profile IDs, author profiles, group membership credentials, your searches, or your shortlist. The extension has no Nookspan listing backend.
When the extension reads a page
Nookspan loads on Facebook so it can detect navigation into a group without a page refresh. In groups, it recognizes supported Marketplace-linked property posts and their engagement. Opening the map automatically loads photos and full details through your existing Facebook session. You can cancel or retry loading. Session credentials and raw responses stay inside the Facebook page; only normalized property details and engagement counts reach extension storage. No listing tabs are opened.
Website and payments
The interactive preview uses sample listings. There is no Nookspan account. If you buy a pass, Stripe handles checkout and payment information. Nookspan sends a random installation identifier and a verification secret to its own payment endpoint over HTTPS; Stripe receives a hash identifying that installation, the product and payment details. No Facebook listings, group IDs, searches or favorites are included. Payment records are retained by Stripe according to the merchant’s payment and record-keeping obligations.
Purchase confirmations
We use the email address provided at checkout to send your purchase confirmation through Resend, including the payment amount and pass expiry. We record the confirmation email reference in Stripe to prevent duplicate sends.
Connecting your pass
The website can check the extension version and plan, start checkout, activate a verified payment, and open your saved-groups page. It cannot read your saved listings. The extension checks for pending payments and periodically revalidates an active pass, including whether the payment was refunded. A signed pass can work offline for up to 48 hours after verification, within its 30-day duration.
Optional website measurement
Website analytics and Meta advertising measurement are off until you choose them in Privacy choices. With website analytics enabled, we record website page views, clicks to the Chrome Web Store, checkout starts and paid passes, together with campaign labels from our links. A click to the store is not an installation. Google provides separate, aggregated installation and store-visit reports through the Chrome Web Store’s Google Analytics integration.
Meta advertising measurement
If you enable Meta advertising, we send consented website events and verified purchases to Meta through its Conversions API to measure and improve our Facebook advertising. This can include event time, the website page path, a random website visitor identifier, browser details, your IP address, an ad click identifier, and purchase amount and currency. For paid purchases we may also send a hashed version of the email address you gave Stripe, so Meta can match the conversion. Hashing does not make personal data anonymous. We do not send Facebook group content, group IDs, searches, listings, favorites, or extension browsing activity to Meta.
Your choices and retention
Use Privacy choices on any page to accept, reject or withdraw optional tracking. Rejecting optional tracking does not affect installation or purchases. We remember your choice for 180 days in an essential preference cookie. Consented website attribution uses a random, protected cookie for up to 30 days. Website visitor identifiers and matching information expire after 30 days; website event records are kept for up to 90 days in our Supabase project in Ireland. Pending Meta payloads are removed after successful delivery, withdrawal or expiry. Payment records remain with Stripe for payment administration and record-keeping. Withdrawing consent stops future optional tracking; it cannot recall information already received by Meta. Contact contact@nookspan.app for privacy requests.
Images, maps and hosting
Facebook serves listing images; OpenStreetMap serves map tiles. These providers receive normal network information, including your IP address. The website uses Unsplash photos for its sample listings. Website and payment requests also pass through our hosting provider, Vercel.
